Heavy snow was falling along a quiet roadside when a mother cat and her tiny kitten were found sitting helplessly in the freezing cold. Thick snow covered the ground around them, while traffic continued moving along the road.
The mother cat was in an especially difficult situation. A heavy iron chain was fastened around her neck, with the other end attached to a large rusty piece of metal beside the roadside. The chain kept her trapped in one place, preventing her from moving away.
