Krista was traveling through Bolivia with a group of friends when an unforgettable encounter changed her life. As their van drove through the streets, a stray dog suddenly began running after them. He continued chasing the vehicle for several blocks, determined not to let them disappear. Krista could not bring herself to leave him behind, so she asked her friends to stop.

The moment they picked him up, the dog was incredibly happy. They later named him Chase, and despite the crowded van and limited space, he quickly became part of their journey. For several weeks, Chase traveled alongside them, quietly enjoying the adventure and soaking up the love he had been missing.
Chase’s gentle personality made it impossible not to fall in love with him. He never demanded much. He simply wanted affection, companionship, and a safe place to rest. As the days passed, Krista realized that their meeting was more than a temporary rescue. She had found a dog who seemed meant to be part of her life.

Krista wanted to bring Chase home to the United States, but the process could not happen immediately. She arranged for him to stay with a foster family while she worked through the necessary preparations. She visited him several times, making sure he knew he had not been forgotten.
Eventually, the long-awaited day arrived. Chase was able to fly to the United States and reunite with Krista. From that moment forward, their bond became even stronger.
Today, Chase travels with Krista around North America in a camper van, enjoying the life he once could only dream of. Together, they have crossed the United States twice and explored incredible places, including the Mojave Desert, the Grand Canyon, the mountains of Tennessee, and the forests of Canada.

Every morning, Chase has his own adorable way of celebrating another day with his favorite person. He lets out a sweet little howl, almost as if he is thanking Krista for stopping that van in Bolivia.
