John F. Kennedy’s Grandson Makes Headlines With His Latest Public Appearance

The 2020 Democratic National Convention took place in August, bringing together several prominent political figures, including former President Barack Obama, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers, and many others.

Among the speakers was John Bouvier Kennedy “Jack” Schlossberg, the only grandson of former President John F. Kennedy.

Jack appeared alongside his mother, Caroline Kennedy, to show their support for Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.

However, Jack had already made a name for himself through his involvement in political discussions and public affairs. He had previously written opinion pieces criticizing conservative politicians for publications including The Washington Post, The New York Times, and Time Magazine.

During his convention speech, Jack reflected on the words his grandfather had delivered when accepting the presidential nomination 60 years earlier.

“Times have changed, but the themes of my grandfather’s speech—courage, unity and patriotism—are as important today as they were in 1960,” he said.

While many viewers were interested in his political views, others couldn’t help noticing his striking appearance.

As it turned out, Jack bears a remarkable resemblance to both his grandfather, John F. Kennedy, and his uncle, John F. Kennedy Jr., who tragically died in a plane crash in 1999.

Social media users were quick to comment on the family resemblance.

“Good looks really do run in the family then! What a gorgeous man. His granddad would be so proud I bet,” one person wrote.

“I just gasped. Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg’s son looks remarkably like her late brother/his late uncle JFK, Jr. Wow,” another user tweeted.

Jack graduated from Yale University in 2015 with a degree in history.

He later continued his education at Harvard, entering Harvard Law School in the fall of 2017 and Harvard Business School in the fall of 2018.

During his first live interview on Today in 2017, Schlossberg spoke about the influence of his family’s history and commitment to public service.

“I’m inspired by my family’s legacy of public service,” he said. “It’s something that I’m very proud of.”

He completed his studies in 2022 and announced in April 2023 that he had passed the New York State bar examination.

Jack also shares a particularly close relationship with his mother. Caroline Kennedy served as the U.S. ambassador to Japan from 2013 to 2017, and her son was photographed accompanying her on several occasions during her time there.

Like his mother, Jack also served as a Senate page and intern. He later worked under former Secretary of State John Kerry, who once offered a humorous observation about his personality.

“A sense of humor is not genetic, but apparently in the Kennedy family it can be inherited. In President Kennedy’s grandson, Jack Schlossberg, this quality seems to abide,” Kerry said.

When it comes to his personal life, media reports indicated that Jack and his longtime girlfriend, Krissy Jones, a yoga instructor and studio owner, ended their relationship in 2019.

He was later reportedly linked to another woman whom he had met at a festival.

Jack is also a big fan of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. After learning about the young Kennedy’s admiration for him, the actor surprised Jack with a recorded birthday message for his 27th birthday.

Jack was delighted by the gesture and described it as “the greatest day of my life.”

Whether people agree with his political views or not, Jack Schlossberg has attracted attention for his connection to one of America’s most recognizable political families, his education, and his interest in continuing his grandfather’s legacy of public service.
