New Hilariously Adorable Comics About Pixie And Brutus To Instantly Make Your Day(4 comics)

It all started as yet another crazy comic idea. A cat and a dog, and their unlikely bond. “Pixie is a tiny, joyful, energetic kitten,” artist Ben Hed once told Bored Panda. “She’s innocent, and she’s also oblivious to the serious, dangerous things going on around her.”

Brutus, on the other hand, is a tall German Shepherd with a scarred face. After retirement, he was rescued as a MWD by Pixie’s owner (MWD). In many ways, Brutus is the polar opposite of Pixie. He’s seen a lot of things. He’s a stern and intimidating military dog, but he has a soft spot for Pixie and does everything he can to protect her from the harsh realities of the world. Ben had no intention of turning their adventures into a series, but his fans (and pretty much the entire Internet) were so enamoured with Pixie and Brutus that he felt it would be a sin not to.

#1 Pixie are you stuck

As you can see from these strips, there is no pandemic where Pixie and Brutus live. “I’ve never really included current events in any of my comics,” Ben told Bored Panda. It’s not like it’s a conscious decision; it’s just not going to happen naturally to me. Perhaps it would be different if my comics focused solely on humans rather than dogs and cats.

#2 Brutus look what my eyes do when I shine light on them

While we’re on the subject, the coronavirus outbreak had no effect on the artist’s artistic work. “I draw comics alone in a dark space in my own home, so I’m already quarantined for the day!” He stated. “Nothing really changed in that regard.”

If you look at Ben’s Instagram account, you’ll notice that his job isn’t just about Pixie and Brutus—you’ll also find fish on dates, overconfident fitness trainers who teach people how to act like tigers, and much more.

“Actually, it’s just something I came up with.” Of course, Pixie and Brutus’ comic books aren’t the only ones that come to mind when I think of comics. I occasionally have an idea for a joke or a story that doesn’t really fit P and B, so I make it with other recurring characters or even completely new characters,’ Ben explained.Pixie and Brutus’ fan base has been rapidly growing (currently Ben has over 2.5 million Instagram followers). Keeping up with demand may have put pressure on others, but Hed used it to motivate himself: “I worry about the performance of each comic, but I worried about that before I created Pixie and Brutus.”

The artist told Bored Panda that creating this comic took far longer than absolutely any other he’s posted on Instagram so far. The reasons for this were the amount of work he put in
