This Grumpy-Looking Cat Lost His Home After Five Years — But His Next Chapter Will Melt Your Heart

Reese is an orange cat with a crooked little tooth, a permanently unimpressed expression, and an irresistible curiosity about every bag, purse, and pocket around him. After returning to his rescue for a second time, this quirky feline has finally found a family that loves him exactly as he is.

Reese first arrived at Orphans of the Storm in 2021 as a stray kitten from Mundelein, Illinois. Before long, he was adopted and began enjoying life with his new family.

For nearly five wonderful years, Reese had a loving home. Unfortunately, circumstances changed toward the end of August, and through no fault of his own, he found himself back at the shelter.

The rescue team was delighted to welcome him again. They knew how special he was and hoped to find him another family who would appreciate his unique personality.

Reese quickly reminded everyone why he was so unforgettable.

“He is seriously one of the most fun, quirky, and sweet cats,” the shelter shared.

His curiosity was endless. Every purse deserved inspection, every shopping bag needed investigating, and every coat pocket might contain a delicious surprise.

Whenever something crinkled, Reese immediately appeared, convinced that a tasty treat was waiting for him.

But his adorable habits weren’t the only things that made him special.

After spending time searching for another home, Reese was officially adopted.

The shelter team can finally celebrate knowing that Reese has found the loving home he deserves.
