Abandoned Kitten Found in a Cardboard Box Now Bosses Around a Dog 140 Times Her Size

A tiny kitten once left alone in a cardboard box is now living a completely different life, happily bossing around a gentle giant of a dog who is nearly 140 times her weight. But before discovering this adorable friendship, little Dove Tree faced a heartbreaking beginning.

Dove was discovered abandoned on a public green, tucked inside a cardboard box with no mother or siblings anywhere nearby. Thankfully, a kind passerby found her and refused to leave her helpless. They brought her to someone who could temporarily care for her before The Stray Cat Club, a rescue charity in South East London, stepped in to give her the help she desperately needed.

When Dove arrived, rescuers were shocked by her tiny size. She weighed just 288 grams, making her appear only two or three weeks old. However, she was actually closer to five weeks old and severely malnourished.

At an age when she should have been growing and playing with her family, Dove had been struggling to survive alone. Fortunately, her difficult days were finally behind her.

The rescue provided her with warmth, nutritious meals, and constant care. With every passing day, Dove began showing encouraging signs of improvement. She eagerly devoured her food and gradually started gaining weight.

“Dove is safe, absolutely loving having regular meals and, most importantly, steadily gaining weight,” The Stray Cat Club shared with LoveMeow.

As her health improved, her adorable personality began emerging. Despite her tiny size, Dove turned out to be incredibly confident and full of mischief.

Her favorite activity? Bossing around the rescue’s resident 40-kilogram dog!

“We’re also beginning to see her funny little personality shining through more and more each day, including bullying the resident 40kg dog,” the rescue shared.

Watching such a tiny kitten confidently ordering around a dog many times her size is absolutely heartwarming. Her playful behavior shows how comfortable and secure she has become.

Although Dove still has plenty of growing to do, she now has a devoted team supporting her every step of the way.

“You’ve got plenty of growing and catching up to do, little one, but you’ve got us behind you every step of the way,” the rescue shared.

Today, Dove is warm, well-fed, gaining strength, and discovering the happiness she deserves. The fragile kitten abandoned in a cardboard box is becoming a bright, fearless little girl with a giant canine companion wrapped around her tiny paw.

Her journey is just beginning, but Dove has already proven that even the smallest hearts can hold enormous courage.
