A frightening situation unfolded beside a busy road when a small puppy became trapped in a shallow, pond-like water channel beside a concrete wall.
The puppy was surrounded by water and could not climb back out. The concrete walls were too high for the little animal to escape, leaving him struggling helplessly in the water.
Above the channel, his mother stood anxiously at the edge. She repeatedly cried and looked down at her trapped puppy, desperately trying to find a way to help him.
Traffic continued moving along the road, but the passing vehicles and people seemed to ignore the situation.
Then, a blue G-Wagon stopped near the worried mother dog.
A young man stepped out and immediately noticed the distressed mother and the puppy trapped below. He quickly approached the channel and carefully reached down toward the puppy.
With care, he managed to lift the puppy out of the water and bring him safely back to the roadside. He gently held and comforted the frightened puppy while the mother dog stayed close.
Seeing that both dogs needed a safe place away from the busy road, the young man decided to take them with him. He carefully placed the mother and puppy inside his vehicle and drove them away from the dangerous roadside.
The rescue gave the little family a chance to stay together in a safer environment, away from the water channel and passing traffic.
For the mother dog, the most important moment was seeing her puppy safely back beside her. And for the puppy, what had been a frightening struggle in the water finally came to an end.
