Meet Princess, a 15-month-old English Bulldog who was incredibly fortunate to survive after being discovered unconscious on the street.
Princess was suffering from severe demodex mange and extreme malnutrition. She weighed only 18 pounds and 12 ounces, despite the fact that a healthy Bulldog her age should weigh at least 45 pounds.
She was so weak that she could barely remain standing.
Adopt-A-Bull Rescue took Princess into their care and immediately rushed her to a veterinarian for treatment.
The rescue team learned that her mange had apparently gone untreated since she was a puppy. Her previous owners had purchased her from a pet store but later returned her after discovering that she was suffering from mange.

What happened after Princess was returned to the pet store or puppy mill remains unknown. However, Adopt-A-Bull Rescue strongly suspected that whoever had been caring for her allowed her condition to worsen before eventually abandoning her.

The rescue team’s priority was now to help Princess regain her health.
Thankfully, there was encouraging news. Veterinarians believed she had a good chance of making a full recovery.

Princess had already started gaining weight and was able to get back on her feet and walk.
The transformation showed just how much proper care, medical treatment, and kindness could change her life in only a few days.
And then came even better news — Princess had been adopted and found a loving forever home.
Princess’s story is a reminder of how important rescue organizations can be for animals who have been neglected and abandoned.
Thanks to the people who stepped in when she needed help most, this once-sick Bulldog was given the opportunity to heal and begin a completely new chapter of her life.
