After 25 years of marriage, Sylvester Stallone and his wife, Jennifer Flavin, are reportedly heading for divorce.
According to news reports, Flavin filed for divorce on Friday, August 19, at a court in Palm Beach County, Florida.
The news came just days after reports emerged that the Rambo star had covered up a tattoo of his wife on his biceps. The original design featured Flavin surrounded by flowers and greenery, with a tiger above her head. It was reportedly replaced with a tattoo of Butkus, the bullmastiff featured in the Rocky films.
A representative for Stallone addressed the tattoo change in a statement to The Daily Mail, explaining that the actor had intended to refresh the image of his wife. However, the results were unsatisfactory and could not be corrected. The representative also emphasized that Stallone loved his family and that the family was filming a reality show expected to debut on Paramount+.
Through his representative, Stallone also addressed the divorce reports, saying, “I love my family. We are amicably and privately addressing these personal issues.”
According to reports, Flavin requested exclusive use of the couple’s Palm Beach home while the divorce proceedings were underway. She also reportedly accused Stallone of concealing marital assets.
Even before news of the separation became public, Flavin had raised questions about the state of their marriage after sharing a photograph with the couple’s three daughters: Sophia, 25, Sistine, 24, and Scarlet, 20.
“These girls are my priority. Nothing else matters. The 4 of us forever,” she wrote in the caption.
All three daughters responded to their mother’s emotional post. Scarlet shared a heart emoji, while Sophia praised her mother, calling her their rock, cheerleader, and an incredible parent. She also expressed how fortunate they were to have her.
Sistine added a heartfelt message, describing her mother as the strongest woman she knew.
Back in May, Stallone and Flavin had celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary, with both sharing loving messages on social media to mark the occasion.
“Happy 25th anniversary to my amazing wife. There [are] not enough words to describe what this incredibly selfless dedicated, patient woman has meant to our lives and I only wish they could be another 25! Thank you, sweetheart!” Stallone wrote.
Flavin also shared an affectionate message, writing, “Our marriage keeps getting better every year! I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together!”
Her anniversary post has since been deleted.
