Justin Bieber’s Rumored Former Girlfriend Shared an Emotional Final Post Before Her Passing

Just months after welcoming her baby daughter, model Sahara Ray shared a touching Instagram message that has become especially heartbreaking following her sudden death at the age of 34.

Sahara Ray, the daughter of Australian surfing legend Tony Ray, reportedly died on October 18 following a suspected fentanyl overdose in Los Angeles. Her death came only months after she welcomed her first child.

According to reports, Sahara was taken to the hospital on October 16 and placed on life support. Her family later faced the difficult decision to withdraw treatment. Reports have stated that it remains unclear whether the suspected overdose was accidental or intentional, and an official cause of death has not been confirmed.

Her passing followed a difficult two-year battle with a neurological condition that left her partially paralyzed and uncertain whether she would ever walk again.

Born in Australia, Sahara spent much of her childhood in Santa Cruz, California, while accompanying her father to surfing competitions around the world.

Her connection to the ocean eventually influenced her career. She built a substantial following on Instagram, worked as a model, and launched her own swimwear business, Sahara Ray Swim.

She gained international attention in 2016 after being photographed vacationing in Hawaii with Justin Bieber, sparking speculation about a possible romance. She was also reportedly linked to Australian singer Cody Simpson.

However, her life took a frightening turn in 2024 when she was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome, a rare neurological disorder in which the immune system attacks the peripheral nerves and can cause severe weakness or paralysis.

‘I Can’t Walk at All’

Sahara revealed her diagnosis in an emotional social media video, explaining how dramatically her ability to move had changed.

“I honestly don’t even know how to start this video, I’m so overwhelmed with what’s going on with me,” she said.

She explained that she had become paralyzed from her upper thighs down to her feet and could no longer walk independently. She relied primarily on a wheelchair and used a walker to move around.

“So I have an autoimmune disease that showed up a few weeks ago called Guillain-Barre syndrome,” she explained.

Sahara believed the condition had developed after a traffic accident involving a driver she alleged was intoxicated and traveling at 128 kilometers per hour.

“It basically sent my body into shock, which sent my body into this crazy sickness,” she said. “I got really, really sick for like a week and a half to two weeks. During that time I barely ate any food because I couldn’t keep it down and my body got really weak.”

The experience also affected her emotionally. Sahara explained that she had stepped back from social media while trying to adjust to her reduced mobility and uncertain recovery.

“This is really hard to deal with, I’ve been trying to keep a good attitude and be hopeful that my feeling comes back, but there’s always a chance it just stays like this.”

‘Passionate and Kind Young Woman’

More than two years after her health struggles began, reports confirmed that Sahara had died at the hospital, surrounded by members of her family. She was deeply loved by those closest to her.

Her mother, Gretchen Bach, paid tribute to her daughter, describing her as an exceptionally passionate and kind young woman who loved her family, fashion, surfing, and her daughter, Snow.

“We’re feeling the love that is pouring in from her cherished friends, fans and the many communities that she was part of around the world,” Bach added.

Among the most emotional details surrounding Sahara’s passing is the final Instagram post she dedicated to her baby daughter, whom she had welcomed only months earlier.

‘My Whole Heart’

Sahara announced her pregnancy in August 2025. Shortly before giving birth, she shared her excitement with her followers.

“Wish me luck. I get induced today at 8pm. So excited so nervous,” she wrote on January 25.

Her daughter, Snow, was born on January 27, 2026. Sahara celebrated the arrival of her little girl with an emotional message expressing her love and pride.

“Snow Ray 1/27/2026. I can’t believe I made this little miracle with my body. I’m so proud and so in love.”

Months later, Sahara shared what would become her final Instagram post. It featured three photographs of Snow smiling at the camera while wearing different outfits.

Alongside the pictures, the proud mother wrote a short message that now carries a deeply emotional meaning following her death.

“My whole heart, baby Snow.”
