Their story began in Sandy Springs, Georgia, where volunteers from a local cat rescue organization were helping stray cats through a trap-neuter-return program. During their work, they encountered a light orange-and-white mother cat who seemed to produce kittens that looked almost identical to her. This time, she had four little boys, each with the same beautiful coat.

The rescue team gave the kittens cheese-inspired names. Ricky, short for Ricotta, and Reggie, short for Reggiano, were joined by their brothers Colby and Monty, whose full names were Colby Jack and Monterey Jack.

However, rescuing the kittens was not easy. The frightened little ones had hidden deep inside the crawl space beneath a house. To reach them, members of the rescue team had to crawl underneath the building and carefully bring them to safety.

Their mother was equally challenging to catch. She managed to avoid the volunteers long enough to have another litter before finally being trapped, spayed, and returned to her familiar territory.
Colby and Monty quickly found permanent homes, and Ricky and Reggie appeared ready to follow. Unfortunately, their prospective adopter changed her mind at the last minute, leaving the brothers waiting for another opportunity.
Despite this setback, Ricky and Reggie continued to thrive. Moving between foster homes did not weaken their bond. Instead, they relied on each other and treated every new environment as another opportunity to explore.
At around five months old, the brothers are playful, affectionate, and full of personality. They love chasing toys, racing around rooms, and curling up in their foster parents’ laps for cuddles.
Their most touching habit appears during playtime. While running and pouncing, they occasionally stop to look back at their human companions, making sure everything is okay before continuing their adventures.

They also enjoy watching birds and squirrels from a cat tree beside the window. Whether sharing treats, exploring their surroundings, or taking a nap, these brothers always prefer being together.
Now, Ricky and Reggie need a loving family willing to welcome them as a pair. After overcoming a difficult beginning, these sweet kittens deserve a permanent home filled with warmth, affection, and endless opportunities to grow together.
