Husband of Conjoined Twin Abby Hensel Responds to Viral Photos and Baby Rumors

Abby Hensel’s husband, Josh Bowling, has denied that a viral TikTok account confirming the conjoined twins had welcomed a baby belongs to their family. He told People in September that neither Abby nor her twin sister, Brittany, has ever had a TikTok account. However, he declined to confirm or deny whether the family has welcomed a child.

In late August 2025, photographs of conjoined twins Abby and Brittany Hensel carrying a newborn in a car seat while running errands in Minnesota began circulating online. The sisters were photographed with a baby again a couple of weeks later, sparking further speculation.

Soon afterward, a TikTok account shared one of the photographs with the caption “Blessed.” Some media outlets interpreted the post as confirmation that the twins had welcomed a baby.

Josh Confirmed the Account Does Not Belong to Anyone in the Family

Abby’s husband, Josh Bowling, told People that the TikTok account was not operated by their family.

“We’re unsure who exactly runs it,” he said. He suspected the account operator had taken photographs from his mother’s Facebook page, which could explain why the posts featured images that were already circulating online.

Josh also clarified that neither Abby nor Brittany had ever owned a TikTok account. He added that the family had made their Facebook accounts private some time earlier.

Initially, the family chose to ignore the account, believing someone might simply be trying to make money from the attention. However, they became concerned when media outlets began treating the account as genuine.

“I can definitely guarantee that it’s not us,” Josh said, explaining that the account was attracting “significant media attention we’re not wanting.”

Although Josh acknowledged the intense public curiosity about whether the family had welcomed a baby, he declined to provide further details. Neither he nor the twins has publicly confirmed whether a child has joined their family.

A Private Couple in the Public Eye

Abby married Josh Bowling, an Army veteran and nurse, in Minnesota in November 2021. Their marriage did not become widely known until 2024.

Now 36, Abby and Brittany are dicephalic conjoined twins, meaning they have two heads and share one body.

The sisters first attracted widespread attention after appearing on The Oprah Winfrey Show at just six years old in 1996. They later featured in documentaries that followed their lives and experiences.

Both sisters earned degrees from Bethel University and work as elementary school teachers. They live in Minnesota, where Abby shares her life with her husband, Josh.
