Jeremy Clarkson has shared a new update about his health, months after revealing that he had gone into remission following an aggressive prostate cancer diagnosis.
The Clarkson’s Farm star, 66, was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2025 after undergoing a blood test. Fortunately, doctors detected the disease early enough for him to receive treatment.
Clarkson later revealed that follow-up tests had found no signs of cancer, allowing him to confirm that he was officially in remission.
Now, several months after receiving the all-clear, the former Top Gear presenter has spoken about his treatment again while replying to a fan who was also facing a cancer diagnosis.
Clarkson Revealed His Diagnosis on Clarkson’s Farm
Fans first learned about Clarkson’s cancer battle during the fifth season of his Amazon Prime series, Clarkson’s Farm.
In the penultimate episode, he told his farm colleagues, Kaleb Cooper and Charlie Ireland, that he would not be able to complete the summer harvest because he needed to go to hospital for surgery.
The announcement visibly surprised both men, with Cooper struggling to hide his emotions.
“I don’t like this,” Cooper told him.
Clarkson, maintaining his familiar sense of humour despite the seriousness of the situation, replied: “I wasn’t thrilled.”
He then tried to reassure his colleagues, telling them: “I promise I’ll be fine.”
However, the season finale presented a more worrying picture of his condition.
The presenter appeared in a hospital bed following treatment and admitted that he was uncertain about what would happen next.
“I’m going to be here for a little while. I don’t know what’s going to happen,” he said.
“If this is all successful, I’ll see you for season six. And if it isn’t, I won’t. Take care, everyone.”
The emotional scenes left viewers concerned about his future, particularly because Clarkson had previously described his cancer as an aggressive form of the disease.
The Cancer Was Caught Early After a Blood Test
Fortunately, Clarkson was later able to share much more encouraging news about his recovery.
Speaking to the Sunday Times, he explained that follow-up tests had found no evidence of cancer and described himself as extremely fortunate.
“I am, without a doubt, officially, the world’s luckiest man,” Clarkson said.
“It was an aggressive type of cancer. It could have spread, it could have gone into the pancreas, it could have gone anywhere, and that would have been trouble.”
His announcement prompted emotional reactions from fans.
“I’m sobbing. Thank god he’s okay,” one person commented.
“Ngl this has me in tears. Good on him for turning this nightmare into something positive by spreading awareness,” another wrote.
A third added: “I’m so glad you’re okay. Prayers for you and your loved ones.”
Since his recovery, Clarkson has also used his experience to encourage other men to take prostate cancer testing seriously.
Following the Clarkson’s Farm finale, he shared a video with his followers and delivered a direct message about why early detection had made such a difference.
“You will have noticed that I’m not dead,” he said.
He went on to explain why he had been fortunate enough to recover.
“The reason why I’m fine is because the doctors caught the prostate cancer early, and they caught it early because I got tested.”
Clarkson urged his male followers not to delay medical checks, highlighting the importance of detecting the disease as early as possible.

Clarkson Shares Update on Cancer Treatment
Clarkson recently responded to a fan online and offered further details about the treatment he received after his prostate cancer diagnosis.
According to the Express, the presenter first expressed his sympathy before recommending that the individual seek another medical opinion.
“My sympathies,” he wrote.
“I would always advise a second opinion. I did indeed have the HIFU treatment, which I’m delighted to say has left no side effects.”
HIFU, or High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound, is a treatment that uses concentrated sound waves to heat and destroy targeted cancer cells.
It can be used in certain cases of localised prostate cancer and is generally considered a minimally invasive treatment option.
Clarkson had previously revealed that he underwent HIFU treatment as part of his cancer journey, alongside surgery.
His latest comments confirm that he has not experienced any side effects from the treatment, offering another encouraging update after months of uncertainty.
The Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? host also revealed that doctors removed part of his prostate during treatment before he eventually received the all-clear.
Clarkson Is Determined to Stay Positive
Although Clarkson has been told that his prostate cancer could potentially return, he has explained that he is trying to maintain a positive outlook.
Following his recovery, he revealed that he would continue having regular blood tests to monitor his health.
He acknowledged that some patients face a 40 percent chance of recurrence, but said he had decided to focus on the possibility that his cancer would not return.
“I try to be positive. I’ve decided to be one of the 60% who don’t have a recurrence,” he wrote in his weekly column.
The experience has also encouraged Clarkson to reconsider some of his lifestyle habits.
He previously admitted that he wants to live long enough to watch his grandchildren grow up.
“I really like seeing my grandchildren. I want to watch them grow up,” he said.
The presenter revealed that he now drives more slowly, goes for walks and has started eating more vegetarian food.
For someone whose television career was built around fast cars and motoring, these lifestyle changes represent a noticeable shift.
Clarkson’s latest update is likely to reassure fans who followed his cancer journey through Clarkson’s Farm.
Although he remains under medical supervision, his latest comments indicate that his treatment has so far been successful and, importantly, has not caused the side effects he might have feared.
