Mountain Dog has won awards for over 200 rescues in 11 years of service.

it’s so wonderful Serving Your Community Well done to both of you, congratulations!! This is the story of Skye, a border collie who worked as a wild dog for 11 consecutive years and conducted about 200 searches.

She retired at the age of 16, but is admired for her dedication and her hard work that saved many lives. And she was awarded the PDSA Medal of Merit, given to the best working animal in the UK. This dog is the 16th animal to receive this award. Since her founding in 2014, the charity has recognized the contributions pets make to society.

Watching her receive the PDSA Medal of Merit is truly an inspiring experience and a great recognition of the time and effort that search dogs and their teams put into mountain safety. Sweet Her Skye began her foster care with the Bowland Her Pennines Rescue Team since she was a puppy.

Then in 2009 she qualified with the Lake District Mountain Rescue Dog Association. Until her retirement at the age of 14, she devoted herself to all these mountain jobs regardless of her weather or adversity. She is now 16 and lives in John and his family home where she is very quiet and very well taken care of.

Thank you and your supervisor for the great service! I am so proud of all you have rescued and the people you have been involved with. Congratulations ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰โค๏ธ
