He had a happy birthday! When the homeless dog celebrated his first birthday at the animal shelter, he sobbed with delight.
The proverb states that a man’s dog is his best friend. But what happens if a dog is abandoned and has no relatives, close pals, or a place to call home? Many of them search for food and lodging on the streets in the hopes of finding a family. Up until that fateful day, Max, a stray dog, continued to live this way.
Max had been living on the streets without a caregiver for months. He needed a home badly since he was underweight and frail. Max maintained his cheerful disposition and gregarious personality despite his challenges, regularly wagging his tail and seeking out new acquaintances.
A group of rescuers from a neighboring animal shelter came across Max one day. They were looking for strays they could adopt and care for when they realized Max needed help. He was brought back to the shelter where he was given a bed, food, and drink.
Max’s rescuers wanted to treat him differently to make up for the years he had gone without it living on the streets. For his birthday, they made the decision to throw him a party with cake, treats, and activities.
